The thermostat is placed separately from the cooling strip. The compact dimensions of the cooling strip (430x40x70mm – W x H x D) allow for installation under most types of inverters. The cooling strip is mounted by screwing it into the wall (mounting materials are not included). The thermostat/sensor is installed using adhesive (3M tape).

Functionality:

The active cooling system directs air upwards from below. Using this cooling system can reduce the inverter’s temperature under load by 15–30°C, depending on installation conditions. This helps prevent power output limitations on hot days and extends the solar inverter’s lifespan.

By default, the thermostat activates cooling at 40°C and turns it off at 35°C at the sensor’s location on the inverter.

Installation:

  1. Mount the cooling strip under the inverter by screwing it into the wall. Use appropriate mounting hardware based on the wall material (not included).
  2. Choose a suitable location for the thermostat box on a smooth, clean surface. Degrease the surface before installation.
  3. Attach the thermostat box by removing the protective film from the adhesive tape and pressing it firmly onto the surface for 5 seconds (minimum room temperature: 15°C).
  4. Repeat the process (degrease, remove the protective film, press for 5s) to install the temperature sensor on the hottest part of the inverter.
  5. Connect the thermostat box to the cooling strip.
  6. Plug in the power supply to the thermostat box.
